Course Overview
Skills for Life is the national strategy in England for improving adult literacy, language (ESOL) and numeracy skills. The classes are small and workshop based, which will allow you to work either on individual targets or as part of a group. The qualifications allow learners to build confidence and progress their numeracy skills.
The classes can also help to improve employability and enhance future educational or career prospects as the Level 2 award in Adult Numeracy is recognized by most employers and universities.

There are no entry requirements. All students will have an informal chat in the first instance.
Learning & Assessment Methods
Qualifications Gained
Most students work towards either an ASCENTIS entry level qualification or an OCR National Test at Level 1 and 2. Your tutor will advise you on an appropriate pathway.
Progression Opportunities
Students may wish to progress to futher study in a variety of course areas.
Career Opportunities
Improved Literacy Skills can increase employability and enhance future educational or career prospects.
Course Costs
Courses are currently free, subject to status.
*exam and registration fees will be paid by the college subject to satisfactory attendance and course completion.
