The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is the internationally recognised qualification which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills.

Who The Course is for
ECDL Advanced is suitable for those who are looking to enhance their computing and IT skills and knowledge. ECDL Advanced allows you to demonstrate your higher level computer skills, showing employers that you are confident, competent and efficient.
Course Content
The course consists of four modules
• Word processing
• Spreadsheets
• Databases
• Presentation
Certificates in each application are awarded individually; however you must complete all the modules to be awarded with an ECDL EXPERT certificate.
Entry Requirements
It is recommended that you should have already achieved an ECDL Extra or an equivalent level 2 qualification in IT.
West Lancashire College will also accept credits previously gained through the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
Learning & Assessment Methods
General progress is regularly assessed by tutors, with a formal assessment test at the end of each module.
