Who The Course is for
Students must be aged 18 or over who seek a professional training in this aspect of holistic therapies.
Course Content
• Inspection and assessment of the feet
• Foot diseases and problems of the feet
• Contra-indications
• Practical techniques and reflective practice for reflexology
• Divisions of the foot
• Mapping of the foot
• How to interpret foot charts in relation to the body
• Cross-reflexes related to the zones of the feet
• Health and safety in the workplace
• Anatomy and Physiology
Work books to be completed in students own time.
Entry Requirements
A knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology would be beneficial. Reflexology is a demanding academic course and students must be prepared to complete practical and theory work at home to back up the course.
Students without formal academic qualifications or work history may be required to sit a diagnostic test.
A caring attitude and a helpful, approachable manner are important qualities.
100% attendance is expected.
Due to Awarding Body requirements, during practical sessions students are expected to –
Remove all visible jewellery including facial piercing.
You will need to wear professional salon dress for practical sessions.
Students must have full manual dexterity.
Nails must be very short and without nail polish.
Candidates must be willing to carry out treatments on each other and provide paying models for assessments.
Learning & Assessment Methods
Assessment is by practical observation, oral questioning, case studies, written essential knowledge papers, end examinations. An internal/external verifier will assess all portfolio evidence and practical skills.
Qualifications Gained
Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology VTCT.
Progression Opportunities
You may wish to advance to the full Complementary & Alternative Therapies Diploma.
Career Opportunities
Employment in a range of venues including health clubs, hotels and hospitals. Opportunities may exist for self employment.

This course is full cost and therefore no fee remission is applicable.
