Business Administration Apprentice (Skelmersdale)
West Lancashire Council for Voluntary Service (WLCVS) is an infrastructure organisation which aims to develop and support voluntary, community and faith groups. We have a great opportunity available for an apprentice to provide administrative support to the West Lancashire Challenge project. The Challenge is a multi-agency project aimed at supporting West Lancashire residents to realise their employment potential as well as supporting local communities to flourish.
The role is varied and will allow the successful candidate to gain a broad range of skills. We are looking for a good communicator capable of working within a close, dynamic team. They should be enthusiastic, hard-working, and computer literate and have the determination to succeed. In return candidates will be given full support/training and that vital step forward towards a successful career.
The position is based in Skelmersdale and is a full time appointment (35 hours per week) initially for 12 months with the possibility of extending subject to future funding. The annual salary is £12,145.

Hairdressing Apprentice Level 2 (Rufford)
Includes all aspects of hairdressing and salon duties. Working Hours: College Monday, Tuesday – Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-4. With varying day off each week.Wage: £2.60per hour. Skills required: People skills, willing to work hard and as part of a team.
Customer Service Apprentice (Ormskirk)
The job include; booking in customers, updating memberships, answering the telephone, emailing, using computers, keeping reception area tidy, looking after customers.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week. Wage: £2.60 per hour.
Skills required: A good background/interest in exercise, health and fitness, computer skills, dealing with customers, handling cash. Qualifications required: Basic Maths, English and computer skills.
Service & Mechanical Engineer Apprentice (Skelmersdale)
To work as part of a team, who take on various projects centred in the water industry, mainly waste water pumping stations and water treatment. Working hours: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. Regular extra work. Wage: £2.60 per hour.
Skills required: Must be well mannered, have respect for co-workers and clients, hard working punctual, strong interest for knowledge, very reliable, confident and have good communication skills.
Qualifications required: First Aid, CSCS Card (not essential as training will be provided).
Teaching Assistant - Shevington (Supporting Teaching & Learning Apprenticeship)
To work in a high school. The successful candidate must have good communication skills and the ability to form excellent working relationships with the pupils.
Childminding Assistant - Parbold (Children & Young Peoples Workforce Apprenticeship)
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8.30am-4pm
The successful candidate must be hardworking, reliable, caring, patient, punctual and conscientious.
Customer Service Assistant – Skelmersdale (Customer Service Apprenticeship)
West Lancashire College, a brand new state-of-the-art facility, opened in August 2011 and houses realistic working environments for hair and beauty, catering & hospitality, sports, performing arts and child care. As a result we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Customer Services apprentice to study at level 2 or 3 depending on previous experience.
The successful candidate will learn from the Commercial & Enterprise Co-ordinator on how to provide high quality customer services to our valued clientele, support other members of the Marketing, Commercial and Enterprise Team and other on site educators with their duties and at the same time achieve a Level 2 /3 Apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship course of study includes areas such as Functional Skills, Employment Rights & Responsibilities and City & Guilds NVQ Level 2/3 in Customer Services.
Monday – Friday 8.45am- 5pm
Wage £96.20
