Plans progress for £42.8m college campus
The project team for the brand new £42.8m college in Skelmersdale has re-assembled following the fantastic news from the Learning & Skills Council (LSC) that they will support the development of the Skelmersdale & Ormskirk College project.
Building work will commence in January 2010 at the site adjacent to Asda. The state of the art, world class facility will boast realistic working environments for hair & beauty, catering and hospitality, sports and a brand new theatre. Students will have access to highly specialised facilities and performance studios.
Louise Dawson, Principal at Skelmersdale & Ormskirk College, commented “We are delighted to be in a position to progress with plans for our new campus. The new college will provide an amazing facility for West Lancashire and we look forward to opening our doors to learners in September 2011.”
