Skelmersdale & Ormskirk College are pleased to announce the appointment of their new Principal, Louise Dawson.
Louise, formerly Deputy Principal at Skelmersdale & Ormskirk College, takes up the post from January 2009.
In her new role Louise will lead the college by focusing on the needs of learners, local businesses and the wider community.
Louise commented “I am delighted to join the college at such an exciting time for education in West Lancashire. I look forward to building on the excellent Ofsted report, continuing to drive up quality and standards and progressing the new £41m college for 2010.”
Louise came to Skelmersdale & Ormskirk College from Calderdale College in 2008, where she was head of faculty, but is proud to be Lancashire born and bred as she hails from Worsley.
Louise said "The plan for the new building is the icing on the cake for me as it will be a fantastic facility for the students."
