One Skelmersdale and Ormskirk College art student has gone the extra mile for her most recent project, in fact she went an extra 3500 miles – all the way to New York City! AS level photography student Nicky Taylor went to New York with the most famous dance photographer in the world, Lois Greenfield.
The illustrious photographer who has featured in some of the world’s most renowned publications such as Time, Elle and Vogue invited Nicky to spend two ten-hour days in her very own studio.
Course lecturer Gary Owens commented “I was amazed when Nicky told me she was going to work with Lois Greenfield, I’ve admired her work for years. It just shows what a student can do with determination and imagination”. Nicky made the most of her experience and came away with many superb images, as well as some fantastic tips on how to photograph dance.
All of Nicky’s images will be included in her course portfolio, which will be on display in the Art Department End of Year Exhibition at the Ormskirk Campus (Hants Lane) from 6-8pm on Wednesday 25th June 2008.
